Questions about Cyclic Bridges

The official website of ad786.

These questions concern the original Cyclic Bridges demo on this guide. Twelve independent fair choices determine a labelled cyclic-rotation count. Scores, captured stakes, settlement and the locally saved wallet follow the rules below.

How Cyclic Bridges Scoring Works

Each ball has twelve independent fair choices. Left contributes −1 and right contributes +1. The game tests all twelve labelled starting positions around the circular word. A position qualifies when its rotated word never has a negative running sum and finishes at zero. Repeated rotation values still count separately because their starting positions are different. The score is the number of qualifying positions.

All-left and all-right words score zero: their final sums are −12 and +12. An alternating left/right word has six qualifying positions, all starting on right. A word with six consecutive right choices followed by six left choices has one qualifying position. Any word with unequal counts of left and right scores zero.

Controls and Concurrent Balls

Up to six balls can be active at once. Each ball captures its whole stake and selected power at launch, and the stake is debited then. Changing settings affects later launches. In normal motion, the animation runs for about 1,200 ms; reduced-motion preference can settle it earlier. There is no manual early collection. Auto schedules at most ten launches; Stop cancels future launches while existing balls finish. Sound remains available.

Wallet, Refill, and Persistence

A new wallet starts with 1,000 virtual coins. The current balance, including each stake debit at launch and any zero balance, and fractional carry persist in the browser where storage is available. When all balls have finished, the queue is empty and balance is below 10, manual refill sets the balance to 1,000 while keeping fractional carry. It is locked while any ball or queued launch remains. Reloading discards unfinished balls without refund or resume.

Mathematical Evidence and Probabilities

All 4,096 twelve-choice words can be enumerated exactly. Each mode has 96% expected gross return by its own normalization. The one-million-round samples measured approximately 96.04%, 95.95% and 95.70%; these sample observations vary and do not replace the exact probability law. A positive gross return can still be smaller than the stake.

Worked Examples from Source

All-left and all-right words score zero: their final sums are −12 and +12. An alternating left/right word has six qualifying positions, all starting on right. A word with six consecutive right choices followed by six left choices has one qualifying position. Any word with unequal counts of left and right scores zero.

Privacy and Storage Facts

The page uses browser localStorage for current virtual balance and fractional carry. It also loads Google Fonts and a Statinside counter. A local wallet and absence of a demo login do not establish anonymity or exclude other processing. Clearing cached files may leave saved site storage intact. This description is not an exhaustive processing inventory.

Frequently asked questions

What is a 'cyclic rotation' in Cyclic Bridges?

Each of the twelve labelled positions is tested as a start. It qualifies only if the rotated word stays nonnegative and finishes at zero. Equal rotation values still count as separate positions.

How is the raw score calculated?

The raw score is the count of qualifying labelled starts. Each full word is tested at all twelve positions, including repeated rotation values separately.

What do the three modes (powers) do?

Modes 1, 2, and 3 apply different exponents to the raw score (raw^1, raw^2, raw^3) and normalize the result by a specific mean to maintain a 96% expected gross return. They do not change which rotations qualify.

Can I cash out early?

There is no manual early collection. A launched ball settles after its animation; reduced-motion preference can settle it earlier.

What happens if I reload the page?

Any unfinished balls are discarded without refund. The current balance, including stakes already debited for unfinished balls, and fractional carry persist locally, but active rounds are lost.

How does manual refill work?

When the demo is fully idle and the balance is below 10, clicking refill sets the balance to exactly 1000. Fractional carry is preserved. Refill is locked if any balls are active or queued.

Does the demo use real money?

No. This is an independent guide's demo using virtual coins. There is no account, no deposit, no withdrawal, and no cash value attached to the virtual coins in this demo.

How many balls can play at once?

Up to six balls may settle concurrently. Each captures its own stake and mode at launch. Settings changes apply to later balls only.

What is the expected return?

The expected gross return is 96% for all modes. This is an average over many trials and not a guarantee for a single session. Measured RTPs are close to 96% but vary slightly in simulations.

Where is my balance stored?

The balance and fractional carry are stored in the browser's localStorage. This is local to your device and does not require an account.

What is the 'Stop' button for?

Stop cancels future launches from the auto-queue. Existing launched balls will continue to settle normally.
